Voyage Voyage is a curated register of hotels with character. Not a blog, not a review site. A hotel appears here because it is carried by an idea — and because that idea holds all the way down: from the façade to the light switch in the room, on to the breakfast and the sign by the staircase.
The lens is the brand and the experience as a whole. The question is not whether the lobby is beautiful, but whether it agrees with the rest of the house. Coherence, not architecture.
Every hotel listed here has been stayed in. It is the morning after that decides. If a place fails the test, it is not written about. The absence is the whole verdict. That is why there are no scores, no penalty points and no suggestions for areas of improvement.
Price is not a criterion. Nor is the number of stars. Hotels that hang together often cost a little more, but not always, and the link is too loose to write by.
Journeys have different purposes: a family holiday, a weekend for two, work. The house is nonetheless measured by the same question every time.
